You have to imagine your heart being in someone else’s body. Beating and breathing in another body that is not your own. Having that body walk around without you knowing where it is, what it’s doing, and when it’s coming back. That’s what it’s like to have children of your own. It’s terrifying, but I wouldn’t give it up for the world.
