I once potted a tree to replace someone I lost.  It was my way of keeping their heart beating someplace close, someplace tangible.  In time, I began to forget the tiny details of their face until all I could imagine was this tree, alive because of me.  So of course, when I think of flowers as beautiful as you, I often wonder who’s keeping you alive?
